This Indonesian Producer Group (cooperative) – “Hasta Kencana” was set up by Nicolas Iturralde Vasco, General Manager of FOCOS through Focolare (See www.focolare.org) & Association for a United World (AMU) (see  www.azionemondounito.org ) , in 2009 as part of a Social Aid Grant for post disaster recovery and community development project at Banbangupuro Bantul, Jogjakarta Indonesia after the earthquake in 2006 . 

This cooperative have total of 47 members (39 Female and 8 Male). 

Members are in batik painting & clothing, herbal tea, local food delicacies, small grocery kiosk, mini restaurant, raise chicken/goat and other small businesses.

The requirements to become members of Hasta Kencana Cooperative are:

• Applicants must already have a business activity that is in operation.
• She/he resides in Jogjakarta Province.
• She/he has to register as member of Cooperative.
• She/he has to contribute the Membership joining fee (Simpanan Pokok) of Rp 250,000.
• She/he has to contribute the Monthly fee (Simpanan Wajib) of Rp 5000 (minimum fee).
• She/he has to attend regular meetings especially the annual general members meeting.
  
  

The requirements to become members of Hasta Kencana Cooperative are:

• She/he can loan the cost of the raw material products from the Cooperative for pay back in 1 - 2 weeks time period.
• She/he will get yearly dividend (if any) based on the decision of annual general members meeting.
• She/he can loan additional capital if she/he need it urgently with small interest 2% per month.
• She/he has the right to contribute to cooperative development.
• All members have the same and equal voting rights in the Cooperative.
